KHALIA STOKES
FROM THE DESK OF
This is where I think out loud about leadership, life, and the work happening beneath the titles...
This is a space for reflection — the kind that doesn’t rush to conclusions. Here, I write about leadership as it’s actually lived: shaped by personal life, responsibility, faith, relationships, failure, and growth that doesn’t happen on a timeline. These are notes from my desk — the desk of imperfection, honesty, and still unfolding.
From the Desk of Khalia Stokes is a space behind the work — where the labels fall away and the deeper questions remain. Restoration sits at the center of these reflections, not as an escape, but as a way of living and leading whole. Here, work, leadership, love, health, family, and personal life belong in the same conversation, with permission to grow, lead, and live without leaving parts of yourself behind.
This is a space that gives permission to bring your whole self with you as you lead, to put love and wellbeing first, and to grow in ways that restore rather than deplete.

MY MISSION...
is to reshape how leadership and life are imagined — with room to breathe, grow, become and impact.
I don’t believe leadership starts with strategy. I believe it starts with the person.
Most of my life, I learned how to be capable, dependable, and put together. I learned how to lead, achieve, and carry responsibility well. What I didn’t always know how to do was leave room — room to become, room to be honest, room to be human without performing strength.
This season of my life has been about margins. Choosing posture over performance. Letting go of the version of myself that believed being strong meant holding everything together quietly. I’m learning how to lead, mother, love, and live from a place that allows me to get it wrong and then get it right — without fear, without self-erasure.
I’m a wife, a mother, a leader, and a woman of faith — but none of those titles tell the full story. I’m interested in the in-between spaces where real growth happens. The places where leadership intersects with health, love, family, faith, and the inner life we bring into every room.
This space — From the Desk — is where I think out loud, write honestly, and share what I’m learning as I become who I already am.
